On the 19th of April this year a crew with an average age of 45 will attempt the crossing from Sennen Cove to St Marys thereby becoming the oldest crew to make the crossing and also the first of the new millennium.The crew are training hard in the gym now and hope to have a Gig in the water by the 20th of February so that they can start training in earnest.

The chosen charity is
Marie Therese House,Hayle (Charity No. 1041938) opened in 1983.The unit has 12 beds and 40 day care places per week.It provides comprehensive rehabilitation for adults
with complex disabilities resulting mainly from neurological disorders.
Unfortunatly the weather was against the launch on the planned date with south westerly force 5
to 6 winds . There is now no space in the rowing season to attempt the crossing until sometime in September I will let you know the exact date closer to the time .
